The collection consists chiefly of photographs of historic Virginia buildings including Battersea, Blandfield, Brandon, Carter's Grove, Clovelly, Edgemont, the George Washington Birthplace, Mount Airy, Mount Vernon, Shirley, Westover Church, and Lower Weyanoke. Also Bruton Parish Church, Brush-Everard House, Capitol, Public Gaol, Lottie Garrett House garden, Governor's Palace, and Tazewell Hall in Colonial Williamsburg. Also Battle Abbey, the Governor's Mansion, Old Bell Tower in Capitol Square, St. John's Church, the John Marshall House, and the White House of the Confederacy in Richmond. Also the Houdon Statue of Washington and the Seven Pines National Cemetery, Richmond; and the Cornwallis Surrender Monument, Moore House and the French Battery restoration in Yorktown. Also the Good Hope Plantation Counting House, Rose Hall, Colbeck Castle, the Rodney Memorial and the Marlborough Great House in Jamaica. Photographs of the Battle of the Crater painting by John Elder and a property map of Colonial Williamsburg, Va., complete the collection.
